Mary J. Blige files divorce from husband Martin Kendu Isaacs

Forty-five-year-old singer, songwriter, model, and record producer Mary Jane Blige has filed for divorce on Tuesday, July 26 from her husband-manager, Martin Kendu Isaacs, in Los Angeles, California after 13 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.

The filing contained no further details aside from Blige’s request to deny Isaacs spousal support.

A spokesperson for Blige said she was upset because her marriage ended but that she will push through with the production of her new album which is scheduled to be released later this year.

Blige is known for her songs such as “Family Affair”, “Be Without You”, “No More Drama”, and “Real Love”, among others.
