Drunk driver in Austin fatal crash facing capital murder charges
The man who rammed his vehicle into dozens of people in Austin, resulted in at least three deaths and dozens of injuries, is facing a capital murder charge, in addition to other charges, CNN recently reported.
Austin Police said 21-year-old Rashad Charjuan Owens was apparently driving drunk on March 13 when he headed the wrong way on the road, rammed through a road barrier, and hit the crowd who was there for the South by Southwest music festival. Police said Owens rammed a barricade and struck revelers in his attempt to escape arrest.
