Sexual abuse charge filed against Houston teacher
An English teacher in Houston was recently charged with sexual abuse due to allegations that she was impregnated by an eighth-grade student, an article of News 10 reported on June 1.
According to reports, Alexandria Vera, 24, had a warrant out for her arrest for having a sexual relationship with the 13-year-old boy, whose name was withheld. Vera acknowledged that she had an affair with the boy and had a continuous sexual relationship with him for several months before he got her pregnant, court documents said. The Aldine School District teacher later decided to abort the pregnancy and denied the sexual relationship allegations. Vera’s bond was set at $100,000 after she decided to turn herself in. She was charged with “continuous sexual abuse.”
