NBA player Derrick Rose acquitted of rape charge
New York Knicks player Derrick Rose and two of his friends were acquitted in a rape case that took place in Beverly Hills, in which they allegedly sexually assaulted a woman, an article of Channel 3000 reported on October 19.
A federal jury decided to acquit the 28-year-old player and two others after concluding that the woman’s testimony was inconsistent. The plaintiff, identified as a 30-year-old, claimed that Rose (her former boyfriend), and two of his friends, drugged and raped her in 2013. Jane Doe also claimed that the three spiked her drink before assaulting her. Rose stated that he would focus on his career now that he was acquitted of the charge.
