DUI charge filed against Debby Ryan

A driving under the influence of an intoxicant (DUI) charge was filed against Disney Channel actress Debby Ryan in Los Angeles after she caused an accident that resulted in an injury, an article of Huffpost Entertainment reported on April 13.

According to reports, Ryan, 22, whose real name is Deborah Ann, struck a Mercedes in Los Angeles. Drake Bell arrested in California over DUI suspicion

Authorities in Glendale, California recently arrested actor Drake Bell after he was suspected of driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Spokeswoman for Glendale Police, Tahnee Lightfoot stated that Bell, 29, smelled of alcohol when he was pulled over on December 21. Officers stopped him after observing his vehicle swerving at a high speed. The actor failed to complete a field sobriety test and was taken into custody.

TV star Weatherly apprehended in Hollywood for drunk driving

Television and film actor Michael Weatherly is facing charges after he was recently arrested in Hollywood for driving a vehicle while intoxicated. Reports said two counts of driving under the influence were filed against the 47-year-old NCIS actor. Weatherly was reportedly stopped by an officer in Hollywood after he was witnessed driving his vehicle at a high rate of speed.

The actor was later taken into custody, where he stayed for fifteen hours, after officers found his blood alcohol content exceeded the legal limit. Weatherly may face imprisonment for a maximum of six months upon conviction of the charges. Shepard busted in New Mexico for drunk driving allegation

A drunk driving charge was recently filed against playwright Samuel Shepard while he was in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA Today stated in a May 26 article.

Reports revealed that Shepard, 71, was arrested in Santa Fe on May 25 after a restaurant security guard notified authorities. According to Police Lieutenant Andrea Dobyns, Shepard showed alcohol intoxication signs upon apprehension, and he failed a field sobriety test. The 1979 Pulitzer Prize winner avoided a breathalyzer test. Shepard told police that he was driving home after drinking two servings of tequila. As of this report, Shepard was still booked at Santa Fe County Jail and whether he had legal counsel was not verified.

Actor William Patton apprehended in S.C. for drunk driving

“Armageddon” and “Remember the Titans” actor William Patton recently was arrested in Isle of Palms, S.C. after he was suspected of driving under the influence, The State reported on February 26.

According to the incident report, an officer saw Patton, 60, driving his vehicle through the median lane of Palm Boulevard after pulling out from a parking area on February 24. The officer noted that Patton was uncoordinated and disoriented. The officer also reported that Patton had a difficult time of getting out of his vehicle. The actor was then charged with drunk driving and brought to Charleston County Detention facility. Authorities later released Patton on a personal recognizance bond for $997 and scheduled a court appearance for March 25.

Dallas Assiatant DA nabbed for intoxicated driving

A Dallas assistant district attorney (ADA) was nabbed over suspicion of operating a vehicle while under the influence, a January 5 article on KENS 5 stated.

Reports said Dallas ADA Justin Moore was stopped by officers on January 4 at around 2:00 a.m. after he was spotted driving recklessly on Highway 67, not far from Loop 12. The arrest report claims that he nearly collided with another vehicle. Authorities allege that he was being uncooperative with the arresting officers, and was later brought to Dallas County Jail after he was suspected of driving while under the influence of alcohol. District Attorney Susan Hawk confirmed Moore’s arrest.

Intoxicated school bus driver arrested in Leander

An alleged intoxicated female school bus driver was recently arrested after crashing into several items on the bus route, 20-30 students on board, a KXAN article reported on October 16.

Reports said Kathy Loraine Legrand crashed a Leander Independent School District bus containing 22 to 30 children several times.
