Reports coming from Denton police revealed they responded to an incident related to domestic violence on December 7 in the 1800 block of Mohican Avenue involving a man and his spouse. Houston teacher impregnated by student may get probation under plea deal

The controversial Houston middle school teacher, who was previously charged for having a sexual relationship with a minor, recently struck a plea deal for probation, an article of KHOU reported on November 16.

A man whom Texas authorities described as a “violent fugitive” was recently arrested in the northern portion of Fort Worth, Texas. Police say the man is “armed and dangerous” due to his involvement in several crimes, an article of Star-Telegram reported on August 15.

Billiot is currently facing several charges, including aggravated assault, deadly conduct, and domestic violence using a deadly weapon. Billiot was also linked to at least two arson incidents early this month and charges are still pending. According to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Billiot was sentenced to 25 years in prison in 1998 after he was found guilty of physically assaulting a woman using a baseball bat.

24 suspected members of a drug ring in Texas facing charges

Several charges related to illegal drugs were recently filed against 24 people in South Texas due to allegations that they were part of a drug ring, an August 19 article of Bristol Herald Courier reported.

Reports revealed that 22 of the 24 individuals were already apprehended by authorities in the roundup they conducted in Crystal City and Eagle Pass. Federal authorities say that at least two of the people charged were school district employees in Eagle Pass. The suspects were transporting illegal drugs from the border to South Texas. Authorities recovered dozens of firearms, 660 lbs of marijuana, 5 lbs of cocaine, cash amounting to $110,000, 35 vehicles, and a bulletproof vest. A charge of “conspiracy to possess cocaine with an intent to distribute” were filed against the 22 persons arrested. The two others, who are still sought by the authorities, are suspected of facilitating drug trafficking by using a cellphone.
