Professional hockey player for the Los Angeles Kings, Slava Voynov, is expected to appear in court for the felony domestic violence charge filed against him in California, a December 15 report of ESPN LA said.
The 24-year-old hockey defenseman was previously charged after he was suspected of assaulting his spouse Marta Varlamova inside their home. Redondo Beach Police personnel on Monday testified on how Voynov physically assaulted Varlamova. A legal representative of the hockey player maintained that his client is innocent from the domestic violence charge, and an attorney representing Varlamova said that they are not pursuing a charge against Voynov. Voynov is expected to appear in court on December 29.
