Puddle of Mudd singer charged with DUI in Minnesota

Several charges were recently filed against Puddle of Mudd vocalist Wes Scantlin in Bird Island after he allegedly operated a vehicle while excessively intoxicated.

Scantlin, 43, was in Minnesota for a performance when he was charged with two DUI charges and a felony for escaping authorities in a motor vehicle. On July 26, Scantlin was seen driving a vehicle at a speed of 100 mph in a 60 mph zone. Police reportedly chased Scantlin after attempting to pull him over. Police noticed that Scantlin was slurring his speech and his BAC test showed he has a blood alcohol content of 0.31 percent. Scantlin was released from custody after posting an undisclosed amount of bail.

Actor William Patton apprehended in S.C. for drunk driving

“Armageddon” and “Remember the Titans” actor William Patton recently was arrested in Isle of Palms, S.C. after he was suspected of driving under the influence, The State reported on February 26.

According to the incident report, an officer saw Patton, 60, driving his vehicle through the median lane of Palm Boulevard after pulling out from a parking area on February 24. The officer noted that Patton was uncoordinated and disoriented. The officer also reported that Patton had a difficult time of getting out of his vehicle. The actor was then charged with drunk driving and brought to Charleston County Detention facility. Authorities later released Patton on a personal recognizance bond for $997 and scheduled a court appearance for March 25.

Dallas Assiatant DA nabbed for intoxicated driving

A Dallas assistant district attorney (ADA) was nabbed over suspicion of operating a vehicle while under the influence, a January 5 article on KENS 5 stated.

Reports said Dallas ADA Justin Moore was stopped by officers on January 4 at around 2:00 a.m. after he was spotted driving recklessly on Highway 67, not far from Loop 12. The arrest report claims that he nearly collided with another vehicle. Authorities allege that he was being uncooperative with the arresting officers, and was later brought to Dallas County Jail after he was suspected of driving while under the influence of alcohol. District Attorney Susan Hawk confirmed Moore’s arrest.

Phoenix Suns’ P.J. Tucker charged with Super Extreme DUI

NBA star P.J. Tucker was recently charged with Super Extreme DUI in Scottsdale, AZ after an incident last May where he was stopped by authorities, a report from Fox Sports stated on July 28.

The 29-year-old forward for the Suns reportedly ran a red traffic light last May 10, leading to him being pulled over by authorities. Tucker’s blood alcohol level was tested at 0.222 percent, which is nearly three times the legal alcohol content percentage for the state. If found guilty on these charges, Tucker could be sentenced to jail, and may face several game suspensions.

Dina Lohan claims she is not guilty of driving while intoxicated

Lindsay Lohan’s mother pleaded not guilty to drinking while intoxicated (DWI) charges on Long Island on Tuesday, September 24.

50-year-old Lohan’s driver’s license was suspended, and she was released without bail during her arraignment in Nassau County First District Court.

According to the police, Lohan was cited for two DWI offenses and speeding on Northern State Parkway.  She also tested positive for alcohol in her system. Her blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was .20 percent, which is more than twice the legal limit.

Lohan’s attorney, hopes that his client will be spared prison time.
