A man in rural Texas is facing murder charges in Anderson County after six people were found dead near his property, a New York Daily News article reported on November 17.
Authorities arrested 33-year-old William Hudson after deputies found at least four bodies in a pond at the back of Hudson’s house on November 16. Authorities reported to the scene of the homicide after they were initially notified of a shooting incident along County Road 2217; they found two deceased victims there. The Sheriff’s Office did not release the identities of the persons killed.
Investigators are still working to determine the motivation for the killings and the causes of each death. Hudson was held on a $2.5 million bond; he has recently dealt with assault charges, though this crime marks the bloodiest ever reported in Anderson County.
Family members identified the victims as Hannah Johnson, her boyfriend Thomas Kamp, two of Kamp’s children, Johnson’s son, and Johnson’s father. Hannah’s mother, Cynthia, survived the attack and reported the incident to police.
A murder charge was recently filed against the boyfriend of Morgan Freeman’s granddaughter, E’Dena Hines, after she was killed near her apartment in New York.
Reports said a second-degree murder charge has been filed against 30-year-old Lamar Davenport, as it is suspected that he was responsible for the death of his girlfriend, E’Dena Hines. Authorities found E’Dena’s body on August 16th on a street near her apartment complex. E’Dena, 33, granddaughter of the well-known actor, Morgan Freeman, was pronounced dead after she was rushed to the hospital for multiple stab wounds around her torso. Hines and Davenport were reportedly living together at the time of the incident. Authorities charged Davenport the following day after people reported having witnessed him assaulting Hines. After his arrest, Davenport was turned over to a hospital for a mental evaluation.
On his official Facebook page, Morgan Freeman acknowledged and thanked all the people who sympathized and supported their family.
Hip-Hop producer Suge Knight, who was accused in a fatal vehicular collision in Los Angeles, has glaucoma in his left eye, Reuters reported on March 11.
Knight’s legal counsel told reports that his client, whose left eye is afflicted with glaucoma, may not have seen whether or not Terry Carter was holding a firearm during an altercation in Compton last January. The attorney claimed that Carter, 55, yelled something about shooting his client before the fatal collision occurred. Carter was killed and Cle “Bone” Sloan suffered injuries outside Tam’s Burgers after they were both struck by a truck driven by Knight. The 49-year-old rap mogul pleaded not guilt to charges related to the deadly accident. If convicted, he could face life imprisonment or up to 25 years in prison. He also has a previous criminal record including assault with a deadly weapon.

On September 11, double amputee Olympian runner Oscar Pistorius was acquitted of murder charges for fatally shooting his fiancé, model Reeva Steenkamp, the Los Angeles Times reported on September 11.
Reports said Judge Thokozile Masipa is expected to hand down a verdict of “negligent killing” against Pistorius in the next hearing. Judge Masipa weighed on Pistorius’ defense that he used too much force and reacted too quickly when he fired his gun four times through a bathroom door on February 14, 2013, killing Steenkamp. Pistorius’ defense said he mistook Reeva as an intruder was accepted by Masipa. The verdict was controversial in the South African and legal communities, who wondered whether Masipa gave the wrong verdict in the case.
