“The Shield” actor Michael Jace has reportedly admitted to authorities that he was responsible for shooting and killing his wife, the Chicago Tribune reported on May 20.
Michael’s wife April Jace, 40, came home on the night of May 19 with their sons after picking them up from baseball practice. About 10-15 minutes later, neighbors in their Hyde Park neighborhood reportedly heard the couple arguing and then heard gun shots ring out.
April sustained multiple gunshot wounds and died on the scene. Their two children, both below 10 years old, were present during the incident but unharmed.
Jace is currently being held on a $1 million bond and had a history of violent behavior after his ex-wife Jennifer Bitterman accused him of physically abusing her. Jace is best known for his role as Los Angeles police detective Julien Lowe on the television drama “The Shield”.
