The controversial Houston middle school teacher, who was previously charged for having a sexual relationship with a minor, recently struck a plea deal for probation, an article of KHOU reported on November 16.
According to reports, a guilty plea of “aggravated sexual assault of a child” was entered by 25-year-old Alexandria Vera. A charge of “continuous sexual abuse of a child” was initially filed against the former Stovall Middle School teacher that could have a 30-year punishment. Vera was charged after a 13-year-old student with whom she was having a relationship got her pregnant. After learning she was pregnant in January, Vera reportedly terminated the baby. Vera’s legal counsel is hoping the judge will consider a probation penalty so his client can avoid having a criminal record.

In a statement, District Attorney Tim McInerny said that the woman, described as developmentally disabled, was “unconscionably assaulted” while interviewing for a job as a nanny at Stubblefield’s home. The victim drove to Morgan Hill Police Department immediately after the incident occurred and was physically examined by a Sexual Assault Response Team. The authorities made a thorough investigation of the claims before filing the charges against the former 49ers defensive tackle.
